The Tasmania Forestry Hub has been busy turning plans into action, with projects now moving strongly into their next phases. This month’s update highlights our carbon project, which is capturing the real-world experiences of Tasmanian participants in the ACCU Scheme to inform policy and practice. It also features our new domestic timber case study, exploring how timber is selected and applied in residential construction to identify opportunities for more local use.
We also share progress from the workforce project, where insights from the recent Grounding Workshop are now guiding the co-design of practical tools to support recruitment, strengthen collaboration and connect with service providers. Alongside this work, the update includes two complementary initiatives for employers: Workplace-Based Trainer program and the upcoming Pacific Engagement Visa webinar.
